They are known for the intricate thin stroke work and vibrant colors, and are done with a variety of tools like fingers, twigs, brushes, nib-pens and matchsticks. Natural dyes and pigments are used for colors. Characterized by attractive geometric patterns, the paintings, done over paper or silk are filled with story-telling motifs.
